It requires a lot of work, dedication and a lot of writing to build a brand for yourself , whether it is an online or storefront business. We all want reach the masses and try to create content but the most important thing is knowing what to write for the right type of audience and trying to attract their attention can be very different. By creating quality is good but if you are not directing it to the reader and permitting them to digest the information to the best of their ability then it is pretty much useless.

So it is best not to write press releases for your demographic only. So when writing your press release make sure that the content is easy to digest and understand for a broad audience.

Writing articles are more in depth and longer compare to press releases with the main objective of attracting audiences to drive traffic to your website. Articles are used purely for information, to sell, to suggest or link create back links to drive more traffic. You may also find that articles are written specifically for targeted demographics, so utilizing keywords and following current trends in a certain niche is essential, this differs to press releases

Articles are written to optimize search engine to drive inbound traffic to your website. The beauty of article writing is to link to or have links inbound from other sites. Where press releases are a once off.


So before you start writing an article or a press release do research who will be reading your work and what call to action you want them to take. Bare in mind that articles usually takes more time and energy, most articles are written with the intent that they are archived on the internet for the longterm. The objective when creating a press release is getting the reader to tell other readers and people about the contents of the release. Providing relevant information and data making if easily readable, no-nonsense manner will definetly increase the chances of your readers following through with it.
